Web Survey Bibliography
Cognitive interviews are a commonly used collection of techniques for pretesting survey questionnaires. Due to the spread of computer and Internet usage in daily life, Web surveys are gaining in popularity and affect the way people perceive questionnaires. Even though Web surveys are based on self-completion through the use of computers, they are still pre-tested in a face-to-face interview by a present interviewer, leading to major errors due to mode effect. The point of interest in our research is how to appropriately adapt cognitive interviewing techniques to Web surveys by making use of the advantages modern technology is providing us.
